Happy Sunday to you! Happy Easter even to some of you! This week we are supporting those that need healthcare and can't afford it. Walgreens has come up with a great solution to help out it's customers in this horrible financial time we are all going through. I thought many of you might need this information.
The Take Care Clinic is an in-store clinic as select Walgreen's stores that employees a Registered Nurse Practioner that can see patients for minor illness. Some examples would be ear infections, colds, flu, eye infections, etc. The nurse is able to diagnosis and prescribe needed medicine to get you back on your feet. Normally, these services would be $59 per visit or covered under certain insurance plans.
Walgreen's has introduced the Take Care Recovery Plan to help those that are uninsured and are unemployeed. Here is an excert from the website about eligibilty to use the service:
*This offer applies to any Take Care Clinic patient that loses his or her job on or after March 31 and has no health insurance. Any other individual that visits a Take Care Clinic as a patient after March 31, and then loses his or her job and is uninsured, may qualify for the offer for the remainder of 2009.
I also saw on the news that Walgreens may be planning to offer this service those that have NOT visited the clinic in the near future. If you are employeed now with insurance, you may want to use the clinic now. That way if you loose your job later, you are covered under this plan.
Visit the Take Care/Walgreens website to get more details about the program, forms to fill out, and to search for a Walgreens with the clinic nearest you.
**Next Sunday Supports will be a review of another Cruelty-Free Product that is being hand made by a wonderful person from Luxury Lane Soap on Etsy. We will be giving away prizes so please plan to visit!**
