Clean & Cruelty-Free with Skin Free SkinCare

Have you heard of Skin Free Skincare? I had a great opportunity to try out  a few of their products and am so excited to bring this company to your attention! Skin Free products were developed by Julie Hilton who is a practicing pharmacist! She has 30 years experience in compounding and decided to bring her talents to the masses in the form of skin care for all, but especially for a very unique group of consumers.

The Skin Free Skincare website recommends their products for the following groups: Extreme Dry Skin, Skin or Fragrance Allergies, Psoriasis, Dermatitis, Eczema, Pregnant Moms, Babies, The Elderly, Diabetics, Renal
Patients, After Radiation or Chemotherapy.

Skin Free products are formulated  with natural, vegan ingredients and without harmful chemicals, perfumes, steroids, colorants, or petroleum products. The chemicals and such ingredients that are left out of Skin Free products are found in almost all beauty and skin products you will buy on the market today. They are unhealthy and unkind to skin and especially can be harmful to people who's skin is very sensitive for one reason or another.  You can feel good know that the products you are using on your face are natural and not synthetic. You can also be happy knowing that no animal had to suffer for your beauty! Yes! All Skin Free products are cruelty free!

On to the review...

The first item I tried is the Skin Free Extra Moisturizing Soap & Shampoo Bar! Here is the description!

Our soap is like no others. It's rich, creamy lather makes your skin feel rejuvenated and fresh. Most commercially available "soaps" are actually detergents. They remove skin oils and break down the protective barrier that helps skin healthy. Removing skin oils causes itching and can contribute to cracking and infection of delicate skin.

I really enjoyed this soap bar! The first thing I noticed about it after I used it on my skin is that my skin didn't have that sticky feeling that it usually does after using bar soap!  My skin didn't still have the soapy feeling after rinsing that I sometimes experience with body wash. It just felt like my normal, smooth skin. No overwhelming scent. After using the Extra Moisturizing Bar for a few weeks, I noticed that several places on my arms and feet that were very dry were healing. I always have a part of my wrist that is very dry and itchy and the bar just took care of that. I haven't had to lotion those dryed parts since I started using the bar.

The Sweet & Smooth Sugar Scrub is the second item I tried! I am addicted to scrub type products so I was very excited about this one. Here is the official description!

Often it takes an extra step to relieve really itchy, dry rough skin. That is where our Sweet and Smooth Sugar Scrub™ comes in. Sugar contains natural alpha hydoxy- acids which renew skin and leave it refreshed without the sting of salt. Just take a scoop of this luscious body polish into your hand and massage into wet skin to remove that outer layer of dead skin cells. Be careful not to slip! You won’t believe the new you.

Like I said, I am rather addicted to scrub, so I used this right away. I decided NOT to try it on my face because I had another Skin Free product for that, but did use it on other parts of my body. The scrub is made of sugar which gave my skin a very good exfoliation. Other scrubs I have used have tiny little beads or other exfoliators that don't do the trick like this product does. Like I said, my feet are always dry and always calloused from walking at work. The scrub did a great job getting rid of my callouses over a few weeks of using it, which let my feet looking much softer. I was actually able to convenience my hubby to try the scrub on his "crunchy elbows" and his elbows are so super smooth now. I would definitely buy this scrub again if I ever run out that is! I use it every few days and have been for several months! It is a great value because they give you a lot of scrub for a little money and it lasts for a LONG time. Talk about a product that feeds the pig, right?

Lastly, my most favorite product, the Niaouli Scrub for Blemish Prone Skin!

Use our new Niaouli Scrub for Blemish Prone Skin daily or once a week as needed to gently remove excess oil, minimize pores, and remove dull, dead skin cells. Healing Organic Niaouli essential oil is a first cousin to Tea Tree, but we prefer it’s bright forest like aroma.

Most facial scrubs found on the market today are made of artificial chemical gels. We took our Skin Free Sweet and Smooth Sugar Scrub concept and added our wonderful new all natural Skin Free Extra Moisturizing Liquid Soap, some very fine cosmetic grade pumice, and our favorite antibacterial essential oil, Niaouli, to make a powerful and effective scrub for blemish prone skin.

The end result of using this great new formulation is rejuvenated, glowing skin with fewer problem areas. This product makes your skin feel velvety and clean, not dried out, burning and itching. We added just a touch of light Organic Macadamia nut oil and some anti-inflammatory Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil to allow your skin to be moisturized while you clean out overworked pores.

Truly this is my most favorite facial scrub I've EVER used. As I have gotten older, I have developed parts on my face that are dry and flaky and others that are more oily than dry! How did the creator of Skin Free come up with a scrub that can fix a face that is half too oily and half too dry? I don't know, but she did! I use the scrub on my face every other day or so and have noticed a huge change in my face. It is neither oily nor dry! No more flaking skin from around my eyebrows that my hubby likes to pick off! No more oily skin around my cheeks to blot off. This scrub smells wonderful to because of the natural essential Niaouli oil in it. The fine pumice in it makes it very effective for exfoilatin, but isn't so rough on my sensitive facial skin that it is painful afterwords.  Again, it is a great bargain as just a little scrub goes a long way.

Finally, I just love these products and really am glad that I have had the opportunity to try them. They are actually on my Christmas list this year as they have some new products I'd like to try! Thank you to Skin Free for giving me this opportunity. Thank them again for giving YOU the opportunity as well. Keep reading to enter the Skin Free Skincare Giveaway!
