Feed Your Pig: December 2009

The annual BlogHer 10 Conference is quickly approaching! It will be held August 6th and 7th 2010 in New York City, Ny. I would love to attend my very first BlogHer Conference and meet all the great women bloggers out in cyberspace! I am very excited and starting my planning NOW! I am packing my bags, checking my oil, ordering custom swag bags, checking my blog card count, and preparing myself for the on slot of fun ahead of me!

How can your company or brand be represented at BlogHer 10?

Sponsoring a blog is a great way to get your products noticed with the hundreds of women who will attend BlogHer 10! Sponsorship also goes along way to building bonds with your company's consumers as blogs reach out to consumers of all age, gender, and ethnic groups! Supporting a blog in this manner gets you noticed by the readers of the blog you support and then by the word of mouth chain as the each reader tells another person they know about your brand and company! Sponsorship is a great, low cost way of advertising that can reach a very targeted and massive audience as well as building bridges with your customers! I, Janna, writer of Feed Your Pig would love to represent your company in various ways described in this post in return for your partial sponsorship to BlogHer 10!

Feeding your company's advertising needs in the following ways...

Bi-weekly or Monthly blog posts highlighting your company, product(s) of your choice, services, deals, etc. including company links and promotional offers!
Monthly or Quarterly giveaways of your company's product(s) or services in order to retain readership attention to your company. Giveaways including requiring contestants to sign up for your company's newsletters, websites, Twitter, Facebook, etc
Placement of your company's banner in the promenint top right-hand sidebar of Feed Your Pig! Banners will be placed in order of sponsorship amount with the highest sponsorship on the top under the "BlogHer 10 Sponsors" banner.
Your company will be mentioned in any and every BlogHer 10 related blog post. May take the form of "This post made possible by ...." , "Thanks to ... for BlogHer 10 Sponsorship!", "..... is sending Feed Your Pig to BlogHer 10", ".... is feeding your swag at BlogHer 10" etc.
Inclusion of your company business cards, fliers, product samples, etc in the official Feed Your Pig @ BlogHer 10 Swag Bag to be given out to Blog Her 10 attendees. Number of bags passed will depend on availability of product samples, fliers, etc. provided by companies to be given. Feed Your Pig would like to give out at least 100 bags during the event!
Creative, in-event, contests showing off your products. For Example - find Janna @ BlogHer 10 and bring something with your company name on it and win a prize!
Mentions of your company and your willingness to sponsor in Tweets from @FeedYourPig on a weekly or daily basis depending on level of sponsorship! Inclusion of your company in the @FeedYourPig "BlogHer 10 Sponsors" list! Check out @FeedYourPig on Twitter to see the dedicated readership of consumers, brands, and bloggers following us!
Live Tweeting including mentions of your company and support during the BlogHer 10 event!
Networking with other bloggers and companies in-person during the BlogHer 10 event!
Mentions and updates to fans on the Feed Your Pig Facebook Fan Page about your company on a monthly basis!
Inclusion in the Feed Your Pig BlogHer 10 Kickoff Twitter Party in July 2010! Party will highlight sponsors of Feed Your Pig and focus on their products, promotions, etc. Prizes can be given as sponsors request.
Any other creative promotional idea or need that your company has! Let's negotiate!
All promotions for your company will start the day of paid sponsorship and continue through the end of September 2010!

What will my company's sponsorship dollars be used for?

Below is a list of expenses that need to be covered in order for me to attend BlogHer 10! They are detailed below, but if you need further clarification on an expense don't hesitate to ask! Feed Your Pig is committed to using your sponsorship dollars in the most frugal and thrifty of ways to get the most out of your support. If you are still reading this post, thank you for continuing to consider sponsorship!

BlogHer 10 Conference Ticket. - Early Bird pricing for an individual ticket is $198 + $4.95 processing fee before February 28th 2010. The first company's sponsorship payment received will go to purchasing a ticket as the last 4 BlogHer events have sold out early. BlogHer 10 is expected to sell out also! Hotel - BlogHer 10 will be held at the New York City Hilton Hotel! Room rate for BlogHer 10 is $199 per night plus tax and $48 per day valet fee. 3 days of hotel room stay and valet fees total is estimated at $800. The second company's sponsorship payment will go to reserving/paying hotel fees as one full night of hotel fees must be paid in order to reserve the room. Transportation - I will be driving to BlogHer 10 as I am to chicken to fly! I will drive from Columbus,OH to New York City, NY and therefore will be renting a vehicle! I have estimated the cost of vehicle rental for 4 days at $300. Sponsorship will also be needed in the form of monies for gas to the event. This will cost approximately $250.
Miscellaneous incidentals - Any monies retained for sponsorship over and above the costs listed before will be used for meals, any taxes, gratuities, personalized printing of custom Feed Your Pig Swag Bags and Business Cards, etc.

Sponsorship Amounts

Feed Your Pig will appreciate sponsorships in amounts starting at $200 and on up. The amount, of course, is negotiable and up to you to decide. Any sponsorship will be appreciated and in return you are gaining invaluable advertising for your company and brands as described above. Again, I will make every attempt to accommodate any and all requests for customized advertising for my sponsors. Advertising amounts smaller than $200 will be used for small cost needs.

Feed Your Pig is especially interested in receiving certain services in lieu of monetary sponsorship. I am in need of a rental vehicle and will glad trade all above services for 4 day of rental vehicle with insurance. This is a great opportunity for a rental car company to get noticed. I am also in need of gas and will trade services for gas cards if a company is so willing. I am also in need of printing services for swag bags and will trade services for 100 customized bags for the event. Any of services or products that I may be able to use during the BlogHer 10 event will be seriously considered in trade for above mentioned services.

Feed Your Pig is also very interested in working with companies who's services and products can be tailored to our readership. Companies committed to cruelty-free ethics and products are very desirable as I attempt to support these companies in my everyday life as well as in my blog reach. Companies or websites that specialize in frugal living, consumer savings, etc are also very desirable to my readership.
