Buckeyes For Haiti Solace **PRE** Auction GIVEAWAY!!

Hi Reader, Ohio State University Faculty and Staff, and everyone else excited about the auction!  The Buckeyes For Haiti Solace Auction is set to begin on this Monday February, 15th at 12:01 am! We have passed out hundreds of fliers, been to the Taste of OSU event, another College of Social Work event, and we have contacted loads of businesses to participate. We are very excited to get the auction off the ground and raise some money for Haiti! Though the news coverage of this terrible earthquake has faded in the past few weeks, the pain of the people their has not faded and will not fade. Please help me remind others not to forget about them! You can also read about the auction in an article in the Columbus Dispatch here and at the OSU College of Social Work website here!

All of the money raised, every single last dime, will go to Partners In Health. Partners In Health is a great non-profit group that was started by Dr. Paul Farmer of Boston back the in 80's. They are on the ground in Haiti providing free health care to anyone who needs it. They have built their own hospital there and have made huge strides in providing heath care in the poorest country in the western hemisphere. There will be another post in a few days with more detailed information on Partners In Health, so watch out for that!

Also, as the week goes on, the items up for auction will be added on the LEFT SIDEBAR of this page. Each item will have it's own seperate post and you can bid on each item simply by leaving a comment with your contact information and the amount of your bid. Bidding will start on Monday. However, if more donations are offered, we will add items as they come in!  On the RIGHT SIDEBAR of this page, you will see some of the logos of companies who are sponsoring items in the auction going up throughout the week. Feel free to click on the company logos and check out our sponsors! We are also going to be added an FAQ or "How to" section for the auction with more detail. We will be accepting payment for bids by Paypal or by money order. More details to come on that.
